Kelly Johnson is now a Ray
They want KJ to play 2nd base and a little OF.
This signing allows Tampa to move Zobrist to the OF.
Now $$$ figures were released as of yet.

just 2 piss off jays fans yunel and kj are going 2 be awesome..
hopefully they get to see the same pathetic infield combo we saw last year...
but knowing the Rays, both him and Escobar will have a huge season while killing the Jays
One of those moves that should be terrible but, for some reason, will turn out amazing for "The Best-Run Organization In Baseball" TM
I really hate Tampa Bay

yup. I expect it from Escobar and thought he would turn it around with the Jays too, but KJ will probably hit .260/.350/.450 now and whack 25 or so.

Lol this scares me even more because the Rays live on these type of signings. Guys who may have struggled go to Tampa and have career years.
Let's hope Johnson doesn't do well and strikes out 160 times again.
fan for life.
Good I can't wait to see KJ up against our pitching staff and Escobar ground into a 1000 double plays.
I wouldn't even be mad if they became all stars. The Tampa trend.
I think Escobar doesn't like Johnson so this might be a dumb signing
Anyone else feel like Johnson should still suck, but will completely turn it around in Tampa?
Given how awful that combo was for us last season, I wouldn't be too concerned. I think Escobar does improve but not back to what he was a few years ago. KJ has much less upside.
Who are all these guys that completely turned their career around in TB anyway?
