    Kelly Johnson is now a Ray

    They want KJ to play 2nd base and a little OF.
    This signing allows Tampa to move Zobrist to the OF.
    Now $$$ figures were released as of yet.

    hopefully they get to see the same pathetic infield combo we saw last year...

    but knowing the Rays, both him and Escobar will have a huge season while killing the Jays

    yup. I expect it from Escobar and thought he would turn it around with the Jays too, but KJ will probably hit .260/.350/.450 now and whack 25 or so.

    the tampa bay jays will now win the world series! In all seriousness, KJ and Escobar have been good players throughout their careers (KJ has done poorly over the past 2). They are solid players, never know if they will regain their form (more likely Escobar than KJ). I honestly liked both players, so it will be nice to see them do well

    Lol this scares me even more because the Rays live on these type of signings. Guys who may have struggled go to Tampa and have career years.

    Let's hope Johnson doesn't do well and strikes out 160 times again.

    Given how awful that combo was for us last season, I wouldn't be too concerned. I think Escobar does improve but not back to what he was a few years ago. KJ has much less upside.
