What you read doesn't necessarily = the truth. And I think that was all just speculation from some reporters anyway (that Reyes would take less from the Mets). Others disagreed. And even if other sources said they would've taken 100/6...it doesnt make it true. It didn't happen, so we don't know whether its true.

if they knew all along they weren't going to sign him/couldnt afford him...the dumbest part of all was not trading him.

while we're on the topis of working out; i was ready an article on metsblog and there was a pic of david wright. either he transplanted mike piazza's arms onto his shoulders or the dude is putting some searious time in the gym. DW's arms look a whole lot bigger then i remember.

Wright has gotten huge over the past season or 2. His forearms look like he works as a damn lumberjack in the offseason
