Stupid rule. It's part of the game.
The Jeff Nelson move?
And it was good
I will miss it.
RIP: Vladythegreat27
Stupid to get rid of it. Part of the game. No need to change the rule anyway.

BRETT GARDNER HOME RUN METER
HOME RUN COUNT: 3
It actually works a few times a year.
I heard about it Friday. Pretty dumb to me to make it illegal.
It's not a balk. Fans don't really understand it and boo because they think it is.
Once the pitcher has left the rubber, the pitcher is live, and so are the runners. If they aren't on base, they are eligible to be thrown out.
I don't know how you can make that illegal.
Dumb. I can see tightening up on it and calling it a balk more because guys milk it for all it's worth and step towards home and awful lot, but you don't have to ban it.
Wait, Jeffy and Jej actually watch baseball and know what a balk is? I thought they just lived in a basement with a calculator. Lol.
Anyway, what is their explanation? Do they say its always a balk when it's done?
My understanding is that both runners move forward a base like a balk....meaning someone scores, and the other is moved into scoring position.
I would be happy living permanently in my basement (if you knew what it looked like you would understand).
I have a problem with this because it's both a tactical move to see if the runner will go on first movement, and because it's a live ball when the pitcher steps off the rubber....are we changing that?
But what is their reasoning for changing it?
