Nothing like the 6's Raw use to get in the late 90's/early 2000's -- combined with 3 or 4's for Nitro and wrestling would get somewhere in the 10's for a few years (ahhhh those were the days when you could flip back and forth). That's virtually almost 250 to 300% more people who were watching wrestling 12 years ago...that and if you remember the house shows at Skydome in the late 90;s that use to get 15 to 20,000 and then ACC when they sold out the first few times...now running shows at Rico H -- kinda sad...
So basically Vince is paying the Shield to be on good terms with Heyman for now, until he screws him. A lot would have to happen for this to be true, IMO. Vince would have to turn heel, I don't think it works the other way around. The Shield have constantly attacked the company's top faces. It would also mean a face turn for Heyman and Lesnar. Which would also mean a heel turn for Triple H, most likely.
Vince becoming leader of Shield would make no sense. He is "about" to fire Heyman until Lesnar comes in and F5's him? And why does Vince need to be discreet about this? Who's he hiding his evilness from? The lowly fans??? And why would he screw Punk out of the title ? Whats the master plan?
Does that mean Shield become faces? or Heyman/Lesnar/Punk faces?
If anything Trips or something makes more sense...even if Vince turned heel against Hunter, I dont see the point of a near 70 year old man needing revenge, its a storyline we would all "argh" on.
"I'm probably pretty boring to watch a game with because I''m all about expected values. I don''t even care if it goes in or not, I'm all about, '‘Should it go in?'' I can live with randomness. I mean, if it''s a close game in the end, yeah, I''m just like anyone else. But I just want us to play the odds all the time."
