Kenneth Faried would like you to meet his two mothers

That would be “Manimal.” Also known as Kenneth Faried. A whirlwind of energy and an absolute beast on the boards. One of the hardest working players in the NBA.

And he would like you to meet his two mothers and hear his support of them.

Good for him, good for taking a stand. Professional sports can be a place unforgiving to the gay/lesbian stereotype and lifestyle, but like all stereotypes it’s a wildly incomplete picture of reality. You can bet there are gay players in the NBA right now. Good for Faried for coming out with what he believes and putting a personal face on an issue.

I would much rather have Faried doing this, and Chris Kaman and Spencer Hawes on the other side of the isle, expressing their views and being public than worrying about the marketing implications and making sure their image is squeaky clean. I want athletes to take a stand, even if I disagree with that stand. We can still be civil about it, or we should be anyway. America seems to have a problem with that in recent years.

Good for him. Professional athletes don't really do this much.

Think about your logic for a second, and replace "why he supports" with "why he doesn't support it".
