No, neither would be elite. Simple.
If you want the ultimate, you've got to be willing to pay the ultimate price. It's not tragic to die doing what you love.
Kaepernick will be next year. Don't know about the other guy even though everyone will question his ability when he does bad.
"The idea that the market will solve such things as environmental concerns, as our racial divides, as our class distinctions, our problems with educating and incorporating one generation of workers into the economy after the other when that economy is changing; the idea that the market is going to heed all of the human concerns and still maximise profit is juvenile. . . Are we all in this together or are we all not?" - David Simon, creator of The Wire
Nah not elite but obviously it will show which quaterback is capable of leading their team to the superbowl and winning it. Which also proves you do not need an elite QB on your team to win it all.
Of the two quarterbacks, however, Kaepernick will likely continue to get better and better and eventually, if all goes well for him, he may very well turn out to be one of the better QB's in the league, possibly reaching that unique group of "elite's".

Neither of them are Eli, so how can they be elite?
Flacco has earned my respect
I wont call either elite not because they are or aren't or whatever, I'm just getting really tired of this argument.
It's something ESPN birthed in the current golden quarterback era, but it's entirely overused because there's such a huge grey area for what one could consider a quarterback to be "elite."
For the water-cooler everyday "who-gives-a-*******" casual fan, all the it seems to make a quarterback "elite" is for them to be on a Superbowl winning team where it seems they are a primary cause of victory.
Whoever wins, the conversation over the next few days will come up in the media, and I already hate it.

Yes, Eli became elite after that miracle catch so why not Flacster or Koopernick??

Neither are 'very good QBs'. End of discussion. They'r eboth average QB's. Not ineteresting. Not elite.
At least Flaccos' ability to throw league-history low INT% (bottom 10) over the course of his career will finally get some credit.
but if the ravens win, qbs will be saying they are elite left and right this offseaosn. lets look at the last 2 years. Eli says he's elite like tom brady, they win the superbowl. flacco says he belongs int eh elite discussion, they win the sueprbowl.
