Rajon Rondo Tears ACL. Out For Season

A Celtics source says Rajon Rondo may have suffered a torn ACL, according to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald.
Uh oh. He was diagnosed with a hyperextended knee at the game by the medical staff, but the MRI reportedly indicated he suffered a ligament tear. Rondo would miss the rest of the season with this injury, but his owners will obviously have to hang in there until this report is confirmed by the team. Avery Bradley will take over at point guard and he's a must-own player in all leagues since he can provide threes and steals to go with points and assists. Courtney Lee also gets a nice boost and is worth owning in standard leagues. Jason Terry has been miserable lately, but he's worth a look for triple-needed owners.

Celtics have theirselves to blame. You put nothing around Rondo the boy has been working OT. Big sale coming.

That sucks. Can't say I feel for bad for Boston tho. At least they wont be adding to their championship lead. Good luck on the recovery if true tho.

If they weren't already, KG, Pierce and Terry just became available.
The value of elite scoring ability, by Phil Jackson:

"This is a guy, we recognize his talent, and his skill is the kind of skill and talent that gets you through playoff games where things get sticky, grind-out, and basketball becomes a force game and suddenly you need to have a player who has the capabilities of scoring with someone hanging on them in a situation that’s critical. He’s one of those players, one of the few players who can do that.”

Yeah, we'll have to wait and see. Seems like more of a guess than anything. I've heard conflicting reports that he wasn't going to get an MRI because of an ACL suspicion.

Rondo's impact on this team gets overblown by a lot of people. I don't think the drop off would be Earth shattering, but considering they're kinda sputtering with him, if he does indeed have a torn ACL they should look to blow things up.

Oh wow. IDGAF who you root for rivalry or whatnot, never like to see injuries like this.

Hopefully it isn't anything that serious.

    Another update:

    Mike Petraglia ‏@Trags
Rajon Rondo just returned to the building in his warm-ups walking back to the #Celtics locker room slight limp with no crutches.
He's just pulling a Pierce now.
