It's funny to see how many people are so quiet about Burke now that he has been fired... i use to argue with so many people about him before he got fired....now, no one sticks up for him
^ What are you talking about? We had an entire thread of people disagreeing with the timing of the firing. Oh you want the "i told you so" post. Yes Lavy you were the one and only one calling for his head, it was really out of the blue no one thought there was a chance he'd be fired![]()
I wish Burke was never fired.
I love Burke... I also wish he was never fired. Me and him used to watch Junior games together, hell he even signed a stick for my imaginary kid.
Me and him go way back, such a good guy... gave me inside info too. He will be missed.

Maple Leafs and Steelers fan for life.
I think the only guy who didn't benefit from Burke's firing was Down Goes Brown. Burke fed that guy pure comedy gold to work with.
I had Burke at one more year.
We could have done that anyway, what would have happened?
It was pretty dumb to fire him and then hire Nonis immediately at the beginning of the season.
Where was the GM search?
Nonis should have been a candidate but not the only one

Getting back on topic, Sittler, Kennedy, Gilmour, and Sundin seem like they'd be the guys you'd put on the Leafs Canadian version of Mount Rushmore, based on career performance.
