One of the best parts of the books so far IMO (I've only read up through book 3). I can't wait to see how it's depicted on the series.

Robb is/was far and away my favorite character of the series

Robb was a doomed character from the start. The only grown-up member of the family that didn't have a POV. And as soon as he stabbed Walder Frey in the back and married Jeyne Westerling, you had to know his time was at an end.

Folks should not let it deter them from enjoying the story.

Yeah, I dunno how you can lose complete interest after that event. I got pissed when it happen, but I would be more pissed if Tyrion died.

Btw I have not read A dance with dragons, so do not spoil it for me if he dies there.

Yep, they appear in three different collections of short stories. Kinda sucks. I'm hoping he re-releases them all when he puts out the fourth story, tentatively titles "The She-Wolves of Winterfell."

Lol, who knows when that will be though. It may be the greatest story ever told, but Martin sure is taking his time with it. If we hear the whole tale by 2025, we should count ourselves lucky.

Well worth your time though. One of my favorite things about this tale is how he weaves history into it. And while the events of the present are exceedingly interesting, the events of the past and how they impact the here and now are just ingenious. I find myself more interested in the Blackfyre Rebellion, Summerhall and the events surrounding Robert's Rebellion than what we're dealing with now.

And no worries, I won't spoil anything after book 3 here.

AFFC was disappointing enough that I have not even started A Dance with Dragons yet and I finished AFFC about 2 months ago. I think I am going to wait for season 3 to start to get my interest back into it, or I will rewatch 1 and 2 soon. This is going to be ****ing awesome though!

Same here. I just want those short stories, but would have to drop 45$ just for the three.
