I expect a lot of people to be pissed after the season finale.

I know I was extremely pissed when I read the book and had to put it down for a week or 2 because of it.

BTW I just finished reading Feast for Crows and well after ASOS just have to say I was a bit disappointed.

I may have a hard time watching after the red wedding. I wanted to quit reading after it.

Yeah, since it's being split into 2 seasons, then I'd expect the Red Wedding to be the finale. It happened about halfway (maybe a little more than halfway) through the book and I can't think of anything else that would be better to end the season with.

The only other possible event that could be a season ending episode is when Daenerys gets he Unsullied army, I can see both of those things along with Jaime getting his hand cut off all in the last episode of the season.

Wasn't the red wedding a bit closer to the end of the 3rd book? If I'm right, wouldn't it air next season since they are splitting this book in 2? It's been a while and I might very well be mistaken. Or was Robb the red wedding?

It was after the mid point of the book, but again remember that things are happening in the book almost simultaneously as other events, plus the show is not going exactly like the book, things have been change, but the plot has not.

Book 3 is just bursting with great ****.

Joffrey's wedding, Oberyn Martell vs. The Mountain, Thapphires, the Knight of the Laughing Tree, the Nightfort, Coldhands...

Plenty of material for two seasons. At the risk of sounding utterly fanboy-ish. This is the greatest story ever told. Enjoy.

And if you've read the books but haven't read the Dunk and Egg short stories...I urge you to. They're going to become required reading. Brynden Rivers might be the best character in the whole shebang.

I didn't have a big problem with what happened during the Red Wedding (besides hating that ***** who set them up, he never got his did he?), mainly because I wasn't a huge Rob fan in the books. But he has translated a lot better for me on the show and it will suck to see him go.

Disappointing is an understatement for AFFC... think I got 70 pages in and was still reading pointless Iron Island ceremony BS so I proceeded to read the book summary on Wikipedia.
