yeah if we were gonna give a risky max contract i think id rather try to get gay, he is a little better shooter than smith and doesnt rely 100% on his athleticism.... honestly im not for a smith deal at all

I agree.. Smith thinking he deserves max is dumb.. he's a great player, he just doesnt deserve that kinda money.. To be honest not a lot of players in the league do, but GMs are throwing that max contract out waay more then they should and players that are undeserving start looking at players that do have max contracts and think Oh i probably deserve 20 mil/year too if he does.. i say smith deserves around 10-12 Mill but no more.

^ Pretty much. but maybe if we had both Smith and Howard going into next season, I would almost bet they would both take a pay cut to play with each other in LaLa land the land of honeys and Money.

Maybe we can bank on that? maybe not... but Smith would answer a lot of our problems this year on the roster is all I can say, he would tremendously boost our defense and would have to come with a player like Korver 1-year salary filler.


I'm torn but I did see "Pau" play some basketball yesterday, he had that snarl I still remember, when he battles like that he is a match-up nightmare.
