    Expectation for Mike Trout?

do you guys think mike trout will duplicate what he did his rookie year or will he suffer a sophomore slump? also will he benifit from having hamilton and pujols hit behind him? will he remain the top player in baseball?

my expectations for him this year are 320. BA 35-40 Hr 110 Rbi 55-60 Sb and Gold Glove Defense on his way to his 1st MVP! I also expect his WAR to be above 8.0

Love him or hate him, call him overrated, a punk, chump, and whatever blasphemy you people speak, fact of the matter is there is no denying he's the best of his generation and will go down as a top 5 player ever...what he has done for the NBA is amazing he's the biggest name in basketball all around the world and his chase for number 6 continues! All that matters though to us Laker fans is #17! Lakersnation! #16to17

I think pitchers will be better at handling them now that they have more scouting on him and have seen him a few times, but he has a huge benefit of having excellent hitters behind him and in front of him. Will be fun to watch

    6-8 WAR

Good season, not as good as last year.

You can never predict 10 WAR seasons.

8 is the most elite players in the game in terms of predictions.

Hit 30 last year in 5 months.

Had a decent HR/FB rate though, so 30 might be the best he does again.

He is going to lead off, so i don't know who these good hitters in front of him will be.

Again as in next year? or as in for the rest of his career, he is still getting bigger and stronger, i don't think 40 is out of the question somewhere down the line, but if he can only hit 30, then he isn't good enough to start FWIW.

6-8 here too, but I actually am in the minority in the HR category. I don't think he will hit more than 25 this year. I don't think that would hurt him much at all anyways though.

"Will suffer a huge slump and will fall out of the top 10"

There's a sizable difference between suffering a huge slump, and not being one of the ten best players in baseball.

Coming soon to a TKRO stadium near you

He hit 30 last year and missed a whole month and a half, not to mention he probably got bigger this summer... It's not really out of reach for him to hit 35-40 bombs

.290/.370/.500 -- 20 HR and 70 RBI with 35 SB at worst in my opinion.

He'll still be one of if not the best player in baseball. I'll say 7 WAR is my best bet, which is still very very elite.

I was referring to next year.

I don't know what size he will be when he is 26.

40 is certainly not out of reach by any means for him.

But he might choose to be fast rather than large. But I doubt that.

he doesn't necessarily have to get heavier to be stronger, if he works specifically on his core and legs, i think he can add power without loosing his elite speed.
