The Official Martin Prado Farewell/Appreciation Thread

Some might not think this thread worthy, it might not be viewed or replied to the most, but frankly I'm hurt that he's gone and dammit Martin deserves a thread.

So here's to a guy who, if Chipper was the heart of the Braves, Martin was the blood pumping thru the veins. A guy who never complained when or where he played. A guy who did all that was asked of him and then some without so much as a blink of hesitation, and thoughts of "whatever can make my team better."


Martin, may you have much success throughout your career. I pray we see you in a Braves uniform in the not too distant future. And everytime Martin steps in that batters box, be it in a Braves jersey or a visiting teams colors, I will gladly stand and cheer him as if nothing has changed. The league needs more Martin Prado's, and I'm glad the Braves had him for as long as we did.

Probably my single favorite Brave over the past 3-4 years. Always did what we needed him to do, never complained about his role, and was a phenomenal clubhouse guy. He will always be a favorite of mine and I imagine just about every Braves fan and I hope he gets the payday he deserves.

a 7 year minor leaguer, dubbed nothing more than an average utility player, said he had no talent. Now, he's an all-star. Great story, great professional, excellent ball player. Has earned everything, nothing was ever given to him and when he gets paid...he'll earn that contract too..no doubt in my mind.

Truly enjoyed watching this guy play every game in every position (just about), for us over the past few years. I wish him all the best in Arizona. He will be missed, and those 2 strike hits will never be forgotten.
