My hope for the rest of the offseason is trade Soriano/Lake/Dolis for Aviles/Paulino/PTBNL, which is either Mitch Brown or Kieran Lovegrove. Sign Bourn at 4/56, DFA either Lendy or Clevenger.

as of now i just hope we can still keep Villanueva this is getting Napoli like but with less info...

i thought for sure this week it would have been resolved but instead we added a 42nd player...

I don't think there are any issues with Villanueva considering he was in the highlight video at the Cubs Convention for this upcoming year. It's gotta be either a trade or them very, very, very thoroughly analyzing the roster before DFA'ing 2 players. Hopefully they are discussing multiple trades offers before choosing the best one.

If he is DFA's he could still be included in a trade or returned within 10 days IIRC.
