PER is a condensed box score. It can't properly gauge the actual impact on both sides of the floor. Chandler and Noah are elite defensive players. Lopez is average defensively.

Lopez and Chandler play equal amount of minutes and Lopez has been far from Average defensively this season. Chandler has been nothing special defensively this season. Noah has been great.

Considering Bosh doesn't get a lot of shots and yet still averages about 18 ppg on 54% shooting is still impressive and all-star caliber. Nothing to really debate on that end.

Happy for Tyson Chandler and Joakim Noah. Well deserved for both guys. But for as much as I respect Deng and admire his play given the minutes he plays every game, I'm inclined to agree with Chuck and Shaq in regards to JR Smith. NY is just as deserving as Miami is to have 3 guys make it. Jrue was a shocking choice.

The West is just too difficult to really critique the coaches decisions. Steph Curry was deserving though.

Deng has been carrying the scoring load on a team without its primary scorer. He's never been asked to be the number one guy and yet he's still been more efficient than Monta with great defense and rebounding.

I'd say the coaches made the right choice.

I agree on Curry. Brook Lopez has the stats to be an allstar, but when you consider all his other attributes I can understand why he wasn't added. He's not as complete a player as Chandler or Noah. The guy is soft!
