They can't get their fans to come to their games when they have a great team. Their players don't deserve a lack of support.

    Move the team..

They should move both teams out of Florida.

Florida is a state full of old Yankees, Mets, Red Soxs, and Phillies fans.

The Rays are perennially one of the worst teams in the majors attendance wise and the Marlins even with a new ball park finished 18th in the majors attendance wise this year (and at the bottom of the league in years before that)

By the way, they should actually be in Tampa instead of in an impossible place to get to for fans.

Attendance is never going to be good in their current stadium.

Who would guess access would be important?

Move them to Montreal, Jays/Expos for 18 times a year would be great.

contraction is the only sensible solution, or move the Rays to San Jose California, they can support a pro team with it's large population and enormously rich corporation base, I don't know why no team wants to move there.

the funny thing is that baseball couldn't move them to Portland or SLC or Carolina anymore than they could move them to Tampa.

Contract the Marlins so Jeffery Loira is out of Baseball, then have the Tampa Bay owner buy out the new stadium, move to the AL East, rename it and keep the Rays front office.

That way the Rays are out of the Al East, all of the Marlin fans would support them with an owner that isn't corrupt and they'd have one kickass front office with a better stadium than Tropicana Field.

I'll always be a Sox fan, but it would be cool to have a team in Connecticut. The amount of Hartford Whalers support there is here is still crazy.
