once again Wren shows his incompetence....you trade a cornerstone player for a rental...Upton is no where near as valuable as Prado is....plus the cheap Braves organization wont resign Upton because he cost too much...now who plays 3B..Francisco??? sad sad day...we could've re-signed Bourn for 13M and came out way better

Upton is far from a rental, Prado was the one not guaranteed. This comment makes little sense.

prado was not going to resign with the braves prado is going to demand 12 to 15 mil a year this offseason when he hits free agency and i do not know what smart gm would give him that but you know there will be one dumb gm out there that does.

Prado is already making 7 this year and Upton is making 9. Prado was probably looking for 12 million a season

I would of preferred to see Uggla in the trade and pay about 4 million a year on his contract and then signed Prado to a multi year deal for about 9-10 million a year.

the braves will have close to 10mil left that they can spend this year so i think they start the year with the platoon at 3B of francisco and johnson but if it does not work out they will have the ability to go out and get someone who can

3 years with a young player is a fairly decent amount of time. Even if he leaves I would still rather have 3 years with him then one more year of Prado.
