i can name my teams LS. Jeremy Cain and before that it was Joe Zelekna. both are good snappers.

however i can tell you Punters is the most underated Position. the jags lost a few games in the 2011 season cuz of a Shoddy punter named Matt Turk then was replaced by nic harris who was better but was still near the bottom of the leg even with 2 Probowlers that play primarily STs with Owens and Osgood.

really depends on the teams scheme. put patrick willis or bowman on any team their defense would be better.

obviosuly if you put a great player at any position on a team they would be better. but as far as the position goes, not the player, its much less important than most others. MLB are expendable usually now. if offered to keep patrick willis or an elite corner or and elite pass rusher, willis would be the one gone

Under valued should mean to all of us, under discussed, then it is easy, unless you are coaching FootBall it is a STs Position, and in those positions it is LS.

I am sorry man, but I have nail you on this one, that first-sentence is a uneducated, media BS & ignorance! Maybe, the worse thing I have read on here! Never true, in any sport, let alone NFL, especially in The Specialist Era of FootBall.

I think too many people ignore the 4-3 OLB position.

Long snapper is the obvious one. Most people don't even know it is a specialized skill. When the Harrison thing happened almost everyone thought it was idiotic that they put him in instead of their center to do it.

willis can do it all as a ILB. he plays the run good, plays the pass good, and blitzs well. a ILB who can do everything IMO can be about as valuable as one.

Who's in the super bowl? The Ravens and 49ers. Willis, Bowman, Lewis, Ellerbe.
I've watched my Packers suck it up on defense in the playoffs year in and year out. We can't tackle anybody. Did anyone see the exhibition Kaeperknick put on us? Somebody has to do the tackling. And with the way the league is heading with underneath coverage with tight ends ILB is a critical position.

I am sorry, but you just repeating the stupidest thing I may have ever heard, about FootBall.

Think about it, some players play the same position since HS, just since NCAA would be strong enough point. Then you are going take ILB Willis and put at ANY FRANCHISES' LOT or any other OL position and say he is better than the previous LOT! WOW!! There are some positions that GREAT, NOT EVEN ALL PRO OR HOFers, Players cannot even play, because of their body size and muscles and etc. development.
Then there are more common that GREAT, NOT EVEN ALL PRO OR HOFers, Players cannot even play other positions because of the skills development (muscles development- not just the size, but reactions and etc.), this is not PWFL or HS.
Ask ILB Willis to play K, Center, LS, P, QB, OL, DL positions inside of DEs, WR & TE! WOW!!!
PRO BOWL ILB Patrick Willis can probably play a lot more positions than most because of his athleticism and brains for FootBall (playing ILB or even if he played MLB).
Some great & not-great players cannot play any other position.
Also, for fairness I am throwing out age and injuries preventing players, like QB Peyton '2nd Greatest QB to Ever Touch A FootBall Field' Manning playing any other positions.
Come on man, are you smoking and looking like the guy in your signature???

Correct me if I am wrong, but both play 3-4 (at sometimes)??

In The 4-3, but especially The 3-4, The DT, NT & NT/DT helps The MLB/ILBs stay unblocked.
