There is no way Tebow will be a part of this team. Lurie does not want that kind of media circus, especially during a rebuild. Plus, back in 2011, Chip said:

“We are not a Tim Tebow type of quarterback team,” Kelly said in 2011. “I am not going to run my quarterback 20 times on power runs.”

He then goes on to say he doesnt want a running QB, but rather one that can beat you with his arm and has the mobility to escape when needed, not run.

but we need a mobile QB to run zone reads, because apparently Chip Kelly is going to bring the unamended Oregon Ducks playbook to Philly

Why is Tebow even relevant? Plenty of QBs have taken a team to the playoffs. AJ Feeley and Jeff Garcia got us there. Tim Tebow has nothing to offer, he is passionate about football, but just doesnt have the skill.

All I am saying is that plenty of other QBs have been given more opportunity than Tebow. If we can get him cheap, which we can, then why not take a flyer this season.... it's not as if there is anyone else out there who has more upside... You cannot deny that he is a winner. And you cannot deny that he protects the ball and you cannot deny that when you look at his stats.... he isnt as bad as he has been made out to be.

Oh and Foles easily has twice the upside tebow has, tebow simply doesnt have the arm talent to be an above average QB no matter how much he fixes his technique, which appears to be too terrible to fix since he has made 0 improvement with it, I live in colorado i watch almost every single broncos game and follow them extensively, trust me tebow has no upside

NO.....NO......NO! Tebow is has bad as it seems why else do you think Greg ****ing MCElroy was placed in over Tebow, and it isn't because Rex is stupid, Rex has moment but he isn't a ****** he knows that Tim Tebow can't play QB in this league,

You have to be a moron to even consider putting Tebow on your team; he is not worth the trouble....and stop with the "he is a winner crap" because look at the cost of victory with this guy. Tim Tebow requires a lot in order to succeed...in other words you cant gameplan with Tebow you have to gameplan for Tebow and that's never good .....

Tim Tebow is bad he can't throw the deep ball, he is not very accurate with outs and slants ( the most common ran route in the league), he can't throw the bubble screen, cant sell the playaction, cant really read a defense well, has poor footwork in the pocket, has poor ball vision, and most of all his throwing mechanics is still completely off does that sound like someone with huge upside......NO it dosent.

I cant stand how people love his "work ethic" really if Tim Tebow had work ethic like let say Adrian Peterson then I would be seeing a HUGE improvement in his game and you dont why.........who knows, but he has had 3 season to fix it or at least show improvement and neither has been done so that tell me either he is caught up in the "I'm a winner and I did it before so I can do it again, crap" or he really thinks that god will miracle his but to a Super Bowl either way I don't care I just don't want that kind of player on this team.

His stats are somewhat misleading you do know that when Tebow played he really didn't throw the ball that much and his comp pct was awful (47%) and you do know that broncos run game was solid right and it was because the run game and defense was good to elite amd that is what carried the broncos into the playoffs right.....here some other facts with that broncos team that go beyond Tebow...........

    • Broncos runners other than Tebow are averaging 4.6 yards per carry (137.8 rush yards per game) in the last five games, after averaging 4.3 yards per carry (94.4 rush yards per game) in their first five.

    • The Broncos defense has allowed just five offensive touchdowns in the four wins with Tebow starting (they allowed 14 in the five games scored by Kyle Orton).

The Broncos pass defense has been above-average. They have allowed a Total QBR of 41.2, in these five contests (12th-best in the NFL), and had a key interception return for a touchdown in the win over the Jets.

please end this thread and stop brining up Tebow to the eagles..

Tim tebow has mediocre stats and even those are heavily skewed by the fact that he was never asked to make ANY dangerous throws in denver

he's a 50% type thrower on checkdowns and 4-6 yard throws, thats pathetic, and his running is overrated and there have actually been reports of teammates not liking him and him not having the intangibles people think he has

No Talent, No Upside, No Arm, No Accuracy, No Tebow, NO THANKS

The middle one is most attractive to me to be honest.. Those numbers actually suggest that the 1st and 3rd players cannot pass but use their legs to their advantage given the 400 plus yards rushing each but still don't have as much total yardage as the middle quarterback and not nearly as high a completion rate.. Answer, nick foles..

    Your baby can't do this

when i read the title of this thread the first thing that came to mind was wizzard of oz...

Foles, Tebow and Vick .... OH MY!

But listen, I like Tebow from a point of faith and morals and the fact that he plays in HIS name. But I dont like the game he plays, at all. I would not want him as a qb, that would suck ALMOST as much as keeping Vick here.

Its time to move on from Tebow, time to move on from Vick. Time to go see what this Foles kid can do with an apparent "mastermind"

If you honestly think Tebow is a better choice than Vick then I have no words.
To some, he was just a boy. A boy who played football, a football player that grew to be a man. A man that took over a city, a city that he made his own, a city that stands behind him in hopes of becoming one of that cities all-time greats. To some, 2013 was a fluke. To some, he can't do it again. To some, he got lucky.

To us though, to the Philly faithful, that QB is Nick Foles. To us, that's our QB.
