Jake long has been slowed down by those injuries. I mean dont get me wrong he is a upgrade but if you think your getting the jake long drafted your dead wrong. He would need to be pretty reasonably priced.

This signing will only matter as long as we upgrade the o-line.
Breisel being "injured" last season doesnt change the fact hes a ZBS specialist,I would look to trade him for a maybe a 4th or 5th round pick.

I dont like wis at Center, he was a probowl level guard.we can Draft Jones,Holmes or one of the other two top graded centers to either take over @# center of play LG.

I would also look to bring in a RG to compete with Berstrom, and a RT to replace Barnes.Nix and parsons would be the primary back ups, but we need three PBS starters and I see no reason why we wouldnt lead the league in RB rushing yardage.

Tom Cable was a good OL coach for the Raiders...but I'm not sure he packs as good a punch as Sparano does.

we might look a little better than the playoff bound 2011 raiders team, undone by one loss, to the same opponent, the broncos beat the team we lost to, and went only one game further in the playoffs with tebow... i always wonder what it would been like with hue jack we wouldve had at least 2 wins more and we wouldve went further than a game.so im proud to welcome back my PBS, i told you all!, wed go back after one year it looks like this wont be dmc's last year, it looks like a contract renewal year coming cant wait to tread on the division next year.

Hue might've won 6 games this year period. That roster sucked.


This is a great hire. Any time you can grab a former HC as an OL coach it's a good hire. Poor guy has got a bad rap as of late. He'll do fine, but I do not expect our running game to suddenly be amazing. DMC still ran like a ***** last year, and Goodson will need to take over once he gets hurt. Hopefully Goodson proves himself next year.

I like this move. He and Saunders, assuming Saunder stays, can provide some much needed seasoning to a young staff. I have hard nothing but good things about Sparano. His Dolphin teams certainly gave the Raiders more than they could handle the last few years.

Prox Oakland makes all the teams they play, look like Super Bowl contenders except the Chiefs in 2012. I appreciate that the hire has some extensive NFL experience, hopefully the linemen are better off because of it.
