"We have been watching and waiting, but I wouldn't say we intend to continue to do that. I think you watch and wait to try and assess a situation and act accordingly. It might involve more waiting. It might involve moving in one direction or another. We've done plenty of watching and waiting. If we can move in a particular direction, we might do that."

    Sandy Alderson: 2011.

Well narrowing it down to Charlotte(Panthers and Bobcats) and Atlanta(Falcons and Hawks). Any input on the contrast between those two cities and what they're like in terms of support?

Atlanta is awful, especially those Filthy Dirty Birds. Go with Carolina.

The Giants put out a quality product consistently, and their organization is run with class. I'd go with them out of the three.

Coming from somebody who's probably never been and is only saying that because he's a Saints fan. Grow up.

New Orleans is almost as bad as Detroit.

I'm just trolling silly. I lived in Atlanta for 3 years. Well, in Peachtree City anyway. I do hate the Falcons though. You're right.

If you're interested in a team with a good fanbase, The Giants are definitely your best bet of the three in the OP, pro sports just isn't as big a deal in the South, although Panthers fans are okay. It's also a much better bet if you want to root for other teams in the area, and it's not that weird for someone who's never been to New York to be rooting for a team from there. If you genuinely have narrowed it down to the Carolina and Atlanta, you can look at what other major teams you'd like to root for from those spots (Carolina or Duke basketball vs the Braves and UGA/GT football). Atlanta does have one of the best MLB franchises of the past 20 years in the Braves, whereas North Carolins doesn't even have an MLB team. But if you don't watch baseball that's not even an issue. One issue you could consider, is that while both the Panthers and Falcons are behind the college teams in their areas in terms of support, the Panthers are probably the biggest pro team in that area, whereas the Falcons would probably be behind the Braves on Atlanta's pro sports scene. So anyway, my reccomendation would be New York 1st, Carolina 2nd, and Atlanta 3rd. I'm kind of an expert at supporting teams for arbitrary reasons since only one of my four teams is actually anywhere near me.

And of course I'll have to send out an unsolicited reccomendation that you become a fan of my team, The Minnesota Vikings. We've got a passionant fan base, some of the best rivalries in the sport, and the reigning MVP and most exciting player in the game today in Adrian Peterson.
