^^Those are the main problems for the Lakers.

No it's not Howard's lack of aggression. No it's not Gasol not playing well. No it's not Kobe taking too many shots. No it's not Nash's lack of P&R's............All of this may add to the problems but they are not what is keeping LA from winning ball games.

- D'Antoni's 7 seconds or less system does not fit this Lakers team who are used to a more methodical system of movement and thinking. Gasol & Bryant are tacticians. Their used to Phil Jackson's school of thought where it requires smarts and calculated plays & movements etc. Plus Howard & Kobe are not surrounded by sharp shooters the way Nash was w/ Phoenix and Howard in Orlando.

- I've been a fan of Nash for a long time now so i'm very familiar w/ D'Antoni's lack of focus on DEFENSE. I knew it was a bad idea after i read LA was hiring him. Lakers won ball games because they committed themselves not only on the offensive end but on DEFENSE. D'Antoni just doesn't have it in him to focus on it at all. He's mentality is to outshoot opponents.....unfortunately there just not enough offensive weapons especially on that bench. For LA to turn things around they MUST start playing Aggressive DEFENSE again.

- I was a long time Miami Heat fan. For years after the 2006 championship i suffered seeing heats thin bench. This is the same situation here. LA's bench is non-exsistent. you could trade every single one of those players for pocket lint. It's just not going to get the job done. If by a miracle LA does make the playoffs these players will vanish worse than they are now. No experience and no talent. Horrible. Add depth w/ veteran experience & talent & they can still make it a season.

- Surround these guys w/ SHARP SHOOTERS. At least even just 1 lol. This is why Miami are so lethal they have so many players who can drain from the arc. LA lacks this element.


Get rid of D'antoni, add depth and talent & i believe they can take the West. but obviously not this season unless some miracle moves and trades occur.
