I Dont think his weight is a real issue.

I mean, how heavy is Big Ben? he can still play the position and his size is an asset to him because he's so hard to bring down.

Russell hasnt shown the head or the heart to play the game so far. I'd happily take the guy and give him a try out, but he's going to have to work pretty hard to earn another shot somewhere, and there's still the question as to whether he's bright enough to learn a playbook.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he made it.
To some, he was just a boy. A boy who played football, a football player that grew to be a man. A man that took over a city, a city that he made his own, a city that stands behind him in hopes of becoming one of that cities all-time greats. To some, 2013 was a fluke. To some, he can't do it again. To some, he got lucky.

To us though, to the Philly faithful, that QB is Nick Foles. To us, that's our QB.

Ben is listed at 240. I think he's more 250-255, but that's a big difference

Ben looked a little lighter this year. Still he is an easy 250 or so.

Truth is if he doesn't have the discipline to stay in shape while out of work, there is no way he could even be a backup QB at the NFL level.

It will be funny if Jamarcus starts before Tebow. Well, I would think Fat Jamarcus Russell's arm is 20x better than Tebow's.

Yeah, 310lbs is a lot different to 260 (which I would guess Big Ben is roundabout)

But at that weight its relatively easy to drop weight. He's a tall man and he'd easily be at 280 within 2 or 4 months of practising hard and eating right under the guidance of a team dietician.

If the biggest issues thats stopping him being a success is he needs to lose 50 lbs, he'll make it. I think there are bigger problems with the guy.

I wouldnt want him at the Jets just because its another thing the media would portray as the "Jets circus" but I'd love to see the guy get a second chance and make it. He's young enough.

I defended this dude until he didn't play anymore. I don't even know why, I just wanted to be right when all of my friends said he sucked. You made me look like a clown once Jamarcus, but damnit I believe!
