Would it make sense for either squad? Throw in marcus morris or patrick patterson possibly, depending how the contracts match up. return lin to d'antoni and have him be the 6th man off the bench, spark the second unit.
pau is obviously old and has a huge contract, but the rockets need an upgrade at PF. toney douglas and patrick beverly have been good surprises and mesh better with harden in the backcourt than lin.

Like no if it did make salary sense you rarely would see a dumb trade like that no offense. Honestly if im the Lakers I look for an expiring contract and some good picks to start making that team younger. Those expecting a really good player in return like Josh Smith, I just dont see it. Start rebuilding around Howard
I'm so glad we have another super well thought out Pau thread!
some people on here are ridiculous. obviously i didnt write a freaking dissertation on the pros and cons of the trade, but its an IDEA....to be talked about. if you dont want to talk about it then dont, no need for the callout.
and people saying "no way" on the lakers part need to realize they're also paying pau 19 mil next year. 19 mil! 19 mil for a 32 year old PF with shotty knees. y'all really think theres "no chance" the lakers would CONSIDER moving him if the right deal came along?
someone said lin is the 23rd best PG in the league? that may be accurate, but for 19 mil i'd expect the best PF in the league.
