Some continuity at the OC position, the return of the running game and McFadden, and a few more upgrades on the O-line should be our priorities ahead of who is our starting QB. I'm tired of giving our QB's crap to work with and being surprised when they fail.

Also don't even get me started on the D. Let's just say virtually all the serious playoff contenders were in the top 15 in terms of points allowed per game. We were ranked 28.
The league is QB driven and the Oakland Raiders have one of the worse, I imagine your postion will be the same in 2014 as it was at the beginning of 2012, dooms day.

If I could play devils advocate for a quick minute, don't over look the possibility of RM trying to increase the value of Pryor to the rest of the league.

With the immediate success of Wilson, RG3, and Kaepernick, it makes sense to give Pryor a shot. But everything said, is said for a reason.

Mr. Firm I have to admit I am impressed that you actually are on the 4th page voicing your displeasure of having the worst QB in Raider history . I am however a little concerned that you may have fallen out of love with Nassib being that there was no mention of him in your post.......could this mean that your favor has turned to the likes of Pryor and his chance to compete this off-season...........Tune in next week for The QB Turns.......seen on your local channels!

Pryor and Nassib should be the only 2 Oakland Raider qb`s, not 3. Take the financial smack and be done with it, Palmer isn`t gonna surface anywhere to bring a team to the playoffs. It`s insane to constantly live the same failure, and if Reggie isn`t careful he`ll be escorted out the door with Allen. I wasn`t excited with the hire from the beginning, I`m confident the draft with validate his short coming.

The Oakland Raiders don`t look like a rebuilding football team behind Palmer, they look like a very bad football team. If you want to rebuild then Palmer is removed, inserting a fresh qb will make the pain more tolerable. Watching Palmer just infuriates everyone, even his supporters.

He regressed the whole offense. Palmer did considerably well considering all the drops, lack of creativity and the insane % of passing plays called over running plays even though there was no #1 receiver.

Just write 2012 off. Don't look at it that close. Everyone on offense was setup for failure the 1st day Knapp walked through the door.
OC didn't throw or call for picks at crucial moments of the games we were close and marching in. I see pryor chompin' at the bit, hitting up Olsen for the playbook, getting guys together, watching film, getting QB trainer for his footwork and just being the gym rat!!

I see Palmer, a seasoned pro, that will address football in camp.

Lets face it, in a building year, the O line is what takes time to gel, the run game and pass game depend on it. Palmer is not the long term answer, he just costs to much to get rid of and thats not how to pick a QB!! Honest competition, make Palmer work for it, if he is so much better, it'll be easy

Open it up and lets see what the kid can do. Not opposed to taking a 4th or 5th rnd QB for camp and practice squad, especially if we can pick em up with a compensatory pick.

Goodness that was suppose to be an edit

It came easy not rooting for McNabb in the later years. Nassib I don`t see that being the case, maybe we`ll all end up being Buffalo Bill fans down the road lol.

I'm sorry, why is it people think Pryor is a gym rat? I keep hearing about all this work he's putting in. Why do people keep saying that?

I've heard Allen say that he's doing his work, but that kind of lip service doesn't really mean much to me. Can someone please show me something that might lead me to believe that Pryor's work ethic is worth commenting about?

I'm not trying to be a douche, I'm genuinely curious.

This may or may not answer your curiosity. I am finding more hear-say, but this one is at least from the QB coach who worked with him at the start of the season.

If you tell someone they have a chance to be Number One, they will strive harder to be that, if they don't, they were not the type you want anyways. Palmer will retain the starting position, but Pryor is going to step it up this off season and push him.

I can't argue with you there. I have been a big Carson Palmer fan dating back to his High School days. I am also alarmed at some of the picks he throws, especially recently. I also believe its a byproduct of two different offensive coordinators in two seasons and is something he can clean up. But that is just me, I am choosing to believe in him. I see your point, this is a big year for him. He needs to get it done better. I guess the difference between you and I is that you have seen enough. A person has got to stick with what they believe in, good for you, people don't stick to their guns anymore. I am looking forward to seeing how this works out. I do agree with you about Nassib.

I have wondered the same thing. He has been getting accolades for staying out of trouble, which is good, but I am not sure how that translates into him being dedicated to becoming a professional QB. His game, at least what I have seen of it is still awfully rough, and the coaches keep saying how far he has to go. Bobby Hoying wasn't a trouble maker that didn't mean he was elevating his game. Pryor's objective isn't to become the next United Way poster-boy, he is supposed to be the future. Don't get me wrong, I am glad he is keeping his nose clean, but I want to see it on the field as well. I hope this comes out right, I am not knocking him, just wondering out-loud how much time he is really putting in?

LOL, even Mark Sanchez got a vote of confidence last offseason after the Tebow trade (contract extension, good $$$) and then throughout the season. That being said, I wouldn't put much thought to what RM said.

The proof is in how hes played...from his first snap in preseason to his last in the charger game it looks like he is improving...that is proof enough to me that hes working...how much who knows..but to improve while never getting reps im practice tells me hes doing atleast alittle extra
