I have a bad feeling that Romine will start the season in AAA. Really hope I'm wrong.

Unless he is very solid in spring training..

Numerous reports have come out that he will start the season AAA. Cashman came out saying they want him too.

It's odd that we would have a full AAA team of garbage. Why not just move the good kids up from lower?

This whole 'not ready' thing is overblown.

Extremely good chance that happens this year to be honest..Yankees are going to start doing a little more fast tracking with prospects then they use too..At least that's their plan with Heathcott. They said we may even say him in the majors this year. And he's starting in double-a. So I expect some jumps for some kids..

There is one possible reason. What if they play poor @ AA the first half of the season?

The thing is though do they want to make a mistake and rush these kids. They rushed Generation Trey and then aborted the plan by June/July.

Or another one is if they get abducted by aliens.

As far as pitchers, I worry about a kid trying to throw too hard when in a tough spot and hurting himself. You know, big stage, arm a bit tired, got in a bit of trouble, and goes too hard. If we had a more veteran catcher I'd be a bit less concerned.

Honestly, I've been pretty clear I'd love to see Adams and Romine start the MLB club from ST. Heck, I might even pay Adams at third some to keep Youk healthy. I think those guys are ready, or close enough plus needed. The rest of the guys probably need a bit more seasoning.

Pitchers and catchers, I agree, need time.

    Position guys? Overrated.

Well guys like Heathcott, Williams, and Austin would be torn up by big league pitchers. We do need to realize that the AA pitchers they are facing often have no where near the developed arsenal that a big league pitcher has.
