Tim brown saying bill callahan threw the superbowl for gruden

"We all called it sabotage ... because Callahan and Gruden were good friends. And Callahan had a big problem with the Raiders, you know, hated the Raiders. You know, only came because Gruden made him come. Literally walked off the field on us a couple of times during the season when he first got there, the first couple years."
That would expain our lines play. good riddance. http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/...wl-xxxvii-loss

Link? What does this mean? How did he throw the superbowl, and why would he throw a superbowl for Gruden?

Guy must have some serious dirt on Callahan. Did he send him pictures of Brett Favre's junk?

Why does this surface now? Sketchy as usual from Tim Brown.

No think about it, it makes perfect sense. Callahan sabotage's his chance to win a superbowl with the Oakland Raiders and become a legend in Oakland and a supremely desirable coaching candidate for the rest of his life.

He hated the Raiders so much, that was his revenge. Throw the entire game and give his old boss who left him in that terrible situation in the first place a Superbowl victory.

God, why didn't I see it before?

The story is verified that he did change the entire game plan the Friday before the game, but if anything it was most likely a panic decision more then anything.

I'm sure it was a panic decision. Tim Brown needs to just go away. I'm neutral on Callahan, but that kind of statement is just rediculous. And to even imply it had something to do with Robinson's death is just wrong.

I'm pretty sure he changed the game-plan was because Barrett Robbins was missing in action before the super bowl and that he had a very large part in their plans. but that's just a guess...

I would have thought that too, but the article says Robbins was flipping out about the change saying he couldn't handle all the new line calls so late in the process.

Then it goes on to imply that it may or may not have contributed to Robbins leaving the team that weekend.
