Watch the tape again. He didn't get "dunked on". He wasn't in Smith's way at all and they only made contact because Lopez swiped his face. If that is "dunked on" you have a soft definition of "strong plays".

He averages 9 rebounds per 36 minutes. 7 rebounds next to Reggie Evans per game who is the best rebound per minute player in the NBA. He's averaging 2.9 blocks per game.


His synergy stats are much improved and at the start of the season, Lopez/Deron were a top 5 pick and roll defense tandem ahead of Rondo/KG.
