Except for the fact that it has the support of the owners and the NFLPA. The only people who don't like it are the defensive players, who will likely change their mind within a few years of retirement. The majority of players seem to be on board, the owners are on board, and the retired members of the NFLPA are on board.

This seems to be something the NFL, the people actually involved and affected, largely are on board with... and the main people complaining are the people it'll never affect. Significant? I think so.

IMO, if you're in the NFL, you can really care less what rules they're implementing. They really don't care what rules are in place. They are living the dream of their childhood and if you ever played football, then you would know that injury has to out of your mind when playing, or you won't be at full speed with the rest of the field.

The overwhelming opinion of the NFLPA on player safety says you are downright wrong about whether they care or not. They do care. A lot.

Again, you don't get a say in the matter. You're unimportant. It isn't your product. It isn't your health. Stop complaining. You are insignificant in this discussion and no one who matters (players and owners) care about your opinion, or your idea of "sissy".

Seriously though, why are people upset with the league showing concern over players safety? We still get big hits, plenty of contact, etc. They're just eliminating the blind side hits, letting a player brace themselves for a hit, and working at lessening the amount of head and neck injuries. Everybody *****es about the newer rules until their star player gets hurt, then they'll cry like a baby.
