Heres a few ideas I got from Bleacher Report to give us something to talk about in here as we patiently await the draft and next season to start

Who would you rather have?

Jermon Bushrod or Jake Long

Randy Moss or Devery Henderson

Henry Melton or Sedrick Ellis

Bushrod vs. Long? Is that really a question? LONG!

Henderson is younger and knows the system better, so I'd take him.

Melton vs. Ellis? Again., is that really a question? MELTON!

Outside of Geno Atkins, Henry Melton is one of the most disruptive interior linemen in the league. Sedrick Ellis isn't even close to that level in his wildest fantasy.

Anyway my main reasoning is to bring light to the fact that these are the possibilities in FA.

I for one would take Long over any draft pick that would be available for us in the draft likewise with Melton.

The possibility of making money for other FA instead of Bushrod etc is interesting as this could drastically change who we target in the draft first.

I like the ideas, but I don't think free agency is even in our vocabulary for this offseason. Maybe some good, league min players from other deep teams, but that's about it. Aren't the Saints over the cap BEFORE any of the many starters are resigned? I'm sure Mickey will pull something we don't see coming too..

Yeah, we don't have money to spend in free agency, so forget about Jake Long, Henry Melton, etc. Focus on drafting!
