This is more in response to the peyton is declining thread.

But in all seriousness, I think we have started to see a shift to a new generation of QB's this year and I believe the Superbowl is an example of that change

Absolutely. Manning and Brady are garbage. Kapernick and Flacco are now the top 2.

The scheme without a healthy Gronkowski is declining.

The NFL forum has now reached NBA forum status.

(For those of you that don't get it, it's using 1 game sample sizes to determine how good players are.)

Brady doesn't get the Manning treatment for losing a playoff game. When Manning loses it's all his fault and he's a choker, when Brady loses and stinks it up with a 62 Passer rating, it's no big deal.

This is an exaggeration thread, to all those people who were talking about manning after losing a game. Some how it's different for manning than brady.

unfortunately it's always been that way. depending on which qb wins the SB this year, we'll have to see a bunch of stupid threads about if that qb is now elite. blah vlah blah.

    Absolutely.

His decision making his poor. He lacks the courage to run for a first down. And, he takes foolish risks throwing into coverage.

I expect the Patriots will draft a QB, bring in one more FA and will have an open QB competition with Brady, Ryan Mallett, Mike Kafka, the FA and a draft pick. It is not a given Brady will win the competition either. Maybe Mark Sanchez?

You are seeing a new generation of QB's that are able to lead their teams to success. Brady, Manning, Rothlisberger have all had their time and now it's running out. I think they are still strong enough to compete but other teams are getting better and more competitive.
