Flyers need to come away with a win here. Slow starts killed this team last season and it was the same story yesterday afternoon. They need to jump out early. Even if they don't score right away, the energy and discipline needs to be there.

They also need to put one in the net on the PP. 0-5 is just unacceptable.

Very tough game. Sabres are fully rested, first game of the season, and in front of their crowd. On the other hand, we had one week of camp, we're going to be slow/sluggish and not well rested, playing twice in 24 hours.

We need the two points and the win here but we need to get up early, as I have a feeling our legs are going to be gone by the 3rd.

I think it could benefit us though coming out of the lockout. As you could see with the Pens game, we got a lot more rhythm as the game went on and we should be able to capitalize on some Sabres rust.
