There are so many "what ifs" regarding anything in life. There are always unpredictable alternate outcomes floating about in peoples heads. Sadly, the Raiders have been awful for so long, it's really the only entertainment I've had (referring to "what ifs" for the organization...which I started doing as a teen the second they lost the Super Bowl. "What if they didn't trade Gruden before this season!?" I would contemplate that angrily as a high schooler).

That being said, it was fun watching this (for open minded entertainment purposes like you mentioned). I liked the animation, especially the JaMarcus Russell part! That caricature did make me laugh

And Kirk Cousins would have been a much better draft pick then Tony Bergstrom.

The glaring mistake in that video is Mike Tomlin - Al would never hire a defensive coach. Tomlin would have been awesome in Oakland, though...

Speaking of QB's, Nassib, Glennon and Dysert are all playing for the North in the Senior Bowl. DA will get an extended look at all three next week.

Raiders were set to draft him until the 49ers traded RIGHT in front of them and got him. And I'd take Kaep over RgIII, Luck or Russell Wilson.

I knew from day 1 Kaepernick was gonna take over that QB job in Sf and become a big time QB. At least better than Mike Vick. Told Niner fans from the get and some even still think Alex Smith should start smh...

on a side note I bet Smith starts for KC this year

I definitely remember that. I was attending Fresno State the year of that draft. I remember watching Kaepernick play against Fresno State for Nevada and I HATED him (because he was good...IMO he made that Nevada team that year).

I remember watching the draft and seeing the 49ers trade right in front of Oakland. Right after they drafted Kaepernick, the story came out that they knew the Raiders were going to take him so they had to make a move to get him. The 49ers have picked quite a few players over the last 4 years or so that I wanted the Raiders to get before the draft pretty frustrating. Who knows if all those players would have worked out in Oakland though, considering how the organization was being ran.

Funny you should say that, I am looking forward to watching the Senior Bowl. As a fan of a team mired in a bad decade you have two choice to stay interested while other teams play meaningful football after Thanksgiving. Fantasy football or NCAA. I hate fantasy football so I have immersed myself in NCAA football and potential players that may become Raiders. Its been a good diversion while the Raiders find their way back.

I agree with your assessment of Kaepernick except that we have no one for him to make plays with in Oakland.....
