WWE: WWE & Brock Lesnar working on a new deal

A new report in the Wrestling Observer newsletter indicates that the WWE and Brock Lesnar have entered negotiations for a new wrestling deal. The report states that the deal would remain relatively similar to his current deal which obligates Brock to a handful of appearances and matches for a reported cool $5 million.

Bad idea, I like Brock but that is too much money to be giving one guy who won't show up but 4 or 5 times for just 2 matches the entire year. There is too much talent that can be developed to be wasting money on contracts like this

I like it personally. As a person whose interest in wrestling as whole is dwindling fast it's nice to see guys like Rock and Brock come in.

I'm assuming that it's just to do a CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar angle

I don't know anything about the business side of it but I could have sworn I read somewhere that Lesnar still has like 20 appearances left o his current deal... Or something

I mean, if it's a deal comparable to the one he's currently on, then they are clearly making money off of it or they wouldn't have re-done it.

You're not really hurting any young talent with him either. If anything, you're hurting the low midcard talent without much of a future. The ones still worth a damn (Cody Rhodes, Sandow, Cesaro, etc.) are still likely going to get on the 'Mania card.

Except he's not even a billionaire.

$5 million is a ton of money for a wrestler.

They're not going to throw around money unless they think they can turn a profit off of it.

I like it. Would be nice to see Brock against some other top talent that he hasn't gone against like Punk, Sheamus, Ziggler, Santino

    Vince is not a billionaire

This is the high end to what I seen his worth....Other places have him between 300-500 million and not more.

Only if he keeps letting Linda Run....And if the reports are true about him being between 300-500 million that is a lot of loss over the years and something they should be concerned about... Its more than enough for us all to be happy with in our life time but he seems to be losing a ton.
