    They make small changes. Like you can't completely change your username.

    It's because they say they want people to recognize everyone in the forum. I thought that reasoning is a bit flawed but it is what it is.

    Minor changes are allowed. If you want to drop the number at the end of your name, or make it a new number, that is fine.
