Rondo has more assists, and a higher DRtg (but he's starting to slack, and Westbrook is getting better). That's it. Oh yeah, Westbrook takes about 4 shots a game too many, and Rondo about 2.5 too few.

Just to be clear, Westbrook despite his weakness for shooting, is clearly a better player than Rondo. Westbrook is also 2 years and 10 months younger than Rondo, and has yet to hit his peak. Rondo's peak appears to have been 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 as a complete player, and the last year and a half in the play making side.
I was talking about their shooting this year. Rondo has a better TS% and eFG% than Westbrook.

And yet overall, Westbrook is playing better than Rondo.

6/27/09: “We expect [Rondo] to play by the rules and be a leader as a point guard. We need him to be more of a leader,” Ainge said. “There were just a couple situations where he was late this year, I don’t know if he was sitting in his car, but showed up late and the rest of the team was there. We have team rules and you have to be on time. He was fined for being late, he said he was stuck in traffic, and it’s just unacceptable.”

On 12/24 Rondo was easily ahead of Irving, DWill, and Calderon, and a couple more.
I just looked over the NBA PG's again, and Rondo is still 11th, but has slipped a bit, just above Collison, Dragic, and Jennings.

It's sad that fans are blind to what is front of them.

As if all your credibility here wasn't already damaged enough. This takes the cake. It doesn't even deserve a quote. Absolutely laughable now. Really.

All you have is homer logic and opinions based on prior years. In this year, Rondo is not having a good year - or more aptly, he is having an above average year, but isn't in the elite.

A guy who doesn't even understand where Sam Jones or Kevin McHale fit in Celtic history, and can't put together an argument in the NBA forum about your beliefs regarding advanced stats wants to have an opinion on me? hahahahahahhahahahaargghh. Or your "classic" whining about NBA owners. Get real Junior.

Go ahead if it makes you feel better.

I told you guys to start the season this team had no realistic shot at winning the ECF, never mind the title. What did you say? Can't remember, but it must have been a statement of faith based belief based on zero logic.

Rondo certainly proved once again that he is deserving of an all-star berth.

    KG.... meh. Fan favorite.

Pierce justified why he wasn't selected with that second half.

Pierce is getting way more shots blocked and bothered than ever before. He leads our team in shots getting blocked, which used to belong to Big Baby when he was here. He can still give us decent output, but he's definitely not looking like his usual self this season, more than ever before. Rondo shouldn't have to take the team on his back every 4th quarter. We desperately need someone with offensive firepower.

Yes, with Rose out and EC pathetic for PG's compared to the West it's arguable at least that Rondo got the designation. But by pure performance on this year alone? No.

That's true. Pierce would get more shots off against 2nd stringers a lot easier.

Green still can't get in a groove and it's - arguably more Doc's fault than Green's at this point.

If Pierce is not injured... and I see no signs that he is... the decline in his game is of serious concern. The BA stats... he struggles to elevate in traffic. It's strange though because hedoes still elevate for rebounds and when he has a clear path. Feel like we are missing information on him because what I see isn't adding up.

Didn't want to start another thread for this question, but what's the tiff between Ray Allen and Rondo/Kevin Garnett? An ESPN article referred to a deteriorating relationship between Allen and Rondo....what was behind that? Also, KG wouldn't even look at Ray Allen and completely ignored him in their last game against each other.
