    Still out there, cheap

Relievers we could still sign, Brian Wilson, valverde, krod, Matt Capps, farnsworth, Brandon Lyon, Dallas Braden, Zach duke, Francisco Cordero

Would you guys take a shot at any of these guys maybe all of them lol one to two years at most. We can get them for one year, cheap - low risk and I feel it would make this season a bit more exciting. And disregard bwilson I guess bc they brought him in go a work out an I guess he doesn't have it but our pen still sucks. We would still need a lefty.

Brian Wilson threw 20 pitches and had no velocity.

I'd rather let the younger guys in this organization get a crack at the pen than see most of the guys on this list get paid to suck.

1,000% correct. When has the last time the Mets signed a big name bullpen guy and he actually didn't suck?

    I want Billy Wagner back.

Nevermind, I want a time machine to take me back to 2006. That's what I want.

I would certainly take chances on Braden, Kazmir, Wilson and Capps.

Wilson isn't close right now but that could change in a month of 2. Better to get him now when he will be cheaper. He would also be a good clubhouse guy.

Lol what's your deal? Every one of your posts are negative. It doesn't make sense to waste money on one yr deals in a season where we have no chance of competing anyway. Everyone here has accepted this is a lost season, why can't you? Enjoy watching our young guys and wait until next season. Unless we sign someone who can help for two years after this one, it doesn't make much sense to us.

Anything more than volunteer work is too expensive for the Mets.

Can you say "finished" boys and girls? He had his fiftenn minutes of fame and now the Giants have left him in the rearview mirror and never looked back as should the Mets after that workout.

Braden and Capps, what do they have to lose? Taking Wilson with no velocity would have just been a head scratcher if they bit.

This. But it's nearly impossible to find a closer that isn't drastically overpaid, assuming he isn't stuck under team control. Guys like Kimbrel, Chapman,

Bullpen arms are sometimes better or worse depending on the manager who is using them. Or on the Taxi cab they decide to get into in South Beach
