Has there ever been a less warranted all-star than Iverson in 2010?

Hibbert last year averaged 13 and 9. Not allstar worthy in the least.
So no one brings up Yao Ming in 03 starting over Shaq?
He averaged 13 & 8 while Shaq averaged like 27 & 12

What is an all star really? If the starters are decided by the fans based mostly on a player's popularity 2010 was certainly an all star by those standards. For those saying Magloire/Hibbert etc when you compare them to the players who were at their position at the time they were more deserving than damn near all. In the grand scheme of the term "All Star" they certainly are not what we would consider deserving but within the years in which they played that's a different story. This topic is tricky in all honesty but truth be told 2010 A.I. could be at the very top of the pile when you consider his level of play as compared to others who weren't a part of the game but he didn't even take part so that's really a moot point.
“I always let LeBron know. They love you right now, But the first bad decision...they are waiting man. They are waiting.”
Allen Iverson(2006)
Fans vote in guys they love, even if they are having a bad season. It's why Mcgrady almost made the team when he hadn't played a game. Magic made his last all-star appearance without having even played a game.
Other guys have already mentioned it, but Magloire, Hibbert and I'll throw in Kevin Duckworth, all made the team without putting up all-star numbers. Mark Eaton perhaps as well (though his defense is what got him on the rosters).
I mean, literally, there are guys who have been voted on without even playing a game. Mourning made and all-star team one season without having played a game. And as I mentioned so did Magic. Magic played, but Mourning was injured so he did not.
So yes, I guess there have been less deserving guys who made the roster since Iverson at least played that season, where as some other guys did not.
I came here to chew bubble gum and kick @$$. And I'm all out of bubble gum.Everything is a self-portrait.
Least deverving, maybe? But with the way all-stars are selected, I don't have too much of a problem with the selections so far...
We as fans vote in the guys we want to see play in the game. KG isn't the player he used to be but he might be just as popular, so we voted him in and he's starting. I kind of thought Tim Duncan should be starting for the West but we voted Howard in, so he gets the nod.
In the same way the all-star starters are voted in based on our desire to see them play, I think the reserves are the same way but the coaches vote these guys in. They may be just as guilty as us for the selections we made? Who knows though? Maybe a guy like David Lee, who most of us thinks deserves the chance to be there, doesn't make it because the coaches like other players at his position?
absolutely wrong about ai.
he was voted in, fans made him deserve it
look for Jamal magloire
