DVD to MP3 conversion - help?

Does anybody know of any free (and safe) DVD to MP3 conversion programs for Mac? I just downloaded a free trial of Aimersoft DVD conversion but the trial only lets you convert three minutes of the DVD. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay for the full version right now

I usually just play the dvd/video and use a program like Audacity (free) to record the audio off my sound card. You just have to make sure you don't have anything else going on the computer that would make sound.

Wait, why would you want to convert a video format into a purely audio format? I mean I'm sure there is a way but it seems pointless to me. Depending on what you want to do a .avi or .mkv or even .m4v, but mp3 seems counter productive.

I have a DVD of a Red Hot Chili Peppers gig (Live at Slane Castle) that I want to convert. I tend to listen to music in the car and at work a lot more than at home at the moment, I want to convert this gig so I can listen to it out of the house

Thanks for the suggestions guys. DVD video soft doesn't seem to be available on mac so won't be good for me, but I'll give Audacity a try

Sure it does. Click the depositfiles link and download. They did the work for you.

Thanks for the help guys. I've got it sorted now with a link Cromedome sent me, I've got plenty of things to try in future if I ever need to do this again though
