The Indianapolis Colts named Tom McMahon their new special teams coordinator.
McMahon held the same position with the Kansas City Chiefs last season after spending the previous three seasons as the St. Louis Rams special teams coordinator.
McMahon replaces Marwan Maaloof, who recently parted ways with the Colts after one season.
“We’re excited that Tom will be joining our staff,” said coach Chuck Pagano said in a statement released by the team. “He brings a strong coaching background and his players have routinely ranked among the league’s best in all facets of special teams. We look forward to working with him as we strive to have one of the top special teams units in the NFL.’’
