Basically he wants to focus on a normal spring training.
That's a really good (and mature) call on his part.

Me neither, and it seems that nearly 1/3 of the Giants roster will participate.

    USA! USA! USA!

Looking forward to watching this WBC take place and unfold.

    Awesome Outfield. Loaded with studs.
Great power on the infield corners from both New York teams.
Right side defense is stellar with Tex and Phillips.
The bullpen will be strong with Kimbrel closing things down.
The rotation has hope when fronted by CY Young RA Dickey and the underrated Kris Medlen.

    Venezuela wins.

    C- Miguel Montero/Salvador Perez
    1B- Miguel Cabrera
    2B- Asdrubal Cabrera/Marco Scutaro
    SS-Elvis Andrus
    3B- Pablo Sandoval
    LF- Martin Prado
    CF- Gerardo Parra
    RF- Carlos Gonzalez

SP- Felix Hernandez, Anibal Sanchez, Henderson Alvarez, Carlos Zambrano

Dominican lineup is ridiculous as well, but their pitching isn't good.

    C- Carlos Santana
    1B- Edwin Encarnacion
    2B- Robinson Cano
    SS- Jose Reyes
    3B- Adrian Beltre/Hanley
    LF- Melky Cabrera
    CF- Carlos Gomez
    RF- Nelson Cruz

USA could have a shot at winning it though.

It's a sad time we live in when people don't wanna play for their country

Team USA could definitely be better, but I always thought this was more about Non-USA teams/countries.

Japan will probably still find a way to win with no MLB players on their roster.

Remember this is a preliminar roster, Pujols, Bautista and Cueto will be part of the Dominican roster if they pass a physical.

Anthopoulos has said he won't permit Jose Bautista to play for the Dominican Republic. He reiterated this yesterday when asked following the Jose Reyes press conference in Toronto.
