    More likely to make the playoffs: Mavericks or LA Lakers

    Teams from the past who are accustomed to be in the playoffs are outside looking in. But now with star players back, who do you see making the playoffs between these two squads?

    I still think they'll figure it out, at least to an extent. Dirk's health should help Dallas out, but there still isn't enough talent to make big enough of a run.

    For as bad as LAL's defense has been, Dallas' has been just as bad, if not worse. That ain't changing.

    You can talk all you want about LA's defense, but Houston isnt very good defensively either. If they didnt have Asik they would probably be the worst in the league by a mile.
