Durant: I wanted to play for the Raptors

The worst part about this, is that the year we won the lottery, was the year they changed the rules so you couldn't draft high school players and Durant was in that class.

From the interview, he doesn't sound like he still wants to play for the Raps.

His only reasons were:

The Logo - it's been changed
Vince Carter - He's gone
Being a New team - Not new anymore... OKC is the newer team lol

If he comes here, I'd be really happy, but I doubt that day will come.

Fair enough, but I think when you grow up loving something, you always have a soft spot in your heart for it.
I wouldn't be surprised if we're still his 2nd fav team after OKC.

Either way, this is the kind of thing that would just be too good to ever happen to a Toronto sports team. Also I don't see any scenario where it's possible. (OKC will never trade him. and he's too nice to dip in FA)

I doubt it, we passed on Roy because of his knees. We will never know unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure i remember BC saying that Roy's knees were the reason that he didn't go #1.

It would be the "Raptor" thing to do, but then again BC seems to never draft anyone if they have any injury concerns at all (aldridge, roy, batum etc).

Ed Davis had a lot of injury concerns when he was drafted.

not really. Ed sat out a season with a broken hand, if I'm not mistaken? Broken bones aren't too bad, as long as they aren't in the knees or ankles where they can linger.
