    The risk for the Sox is almost inexistent but they should probably make a trade involving Salty for a backup 1B that can actually play everyday if need be. I'm a Smoak fan, but there's other options.

    Unless Salty gets traded and one of Ross/Lavarnway get hurt, then no.

    Why would he want to catch risk injuring himself. Who would wanna catch anyone such a tough position

    He has been one of Lackey's favorite catchers, but given that hip I have to figure he's emergency only.

    his ankle injury was more of a freak injury and he;s rehabing it well. he'll be fine
