How come there hasn't been more emphasize on changing the offense? Wasnt it the offense that couldn't score for 3 and a half quarters? Wasnt it the offense that turned the ball over or went three and out putting the defense in a bad position? And in comparison to the defense the offense was healthy. Firing the RB coach is not enough.

Maybe our offense did suffer... ok it did but still our defense allowed the most yards in franchise history.

It is enough, our rushing attack was 31st in the league. We were top 5 in every passing category, and our defense was bottom 10 in every d category. The passing game should not be touched, although the run game and d has to be.

And anyone that watched the games saw that the offense put the defense in terrible positions with turnovers and 3 and outs. The offense was reasonably healthy especially in comparison to the defense.

It was the OLine that was the problem both in the run game and in protection; the play calling was horrid as well...but, if they improve the OLine this off season like they did with the secondary last year, then there will be bigger holes for the RB's and more time for Tony....we will see...

I want Carmicheal too but I think what's going to happen is they will hire Sparano as TE or OL coach, promote Wes Phillips to TE or OL coach, and let Callahan call plays and it will be the same old vanilla offense with Garrett still having too much input.

I wish JJ would've just fired Garrett. But it looks like we are going to have to go through this at least 1 more season.

I get the feeling that just fixing the oline won't magically change our problems. I do feel like we keep having the same groundhog day conversations every year for the past 16 years. Just change some of the coaches and player's names....but the content and even the back and forth on the board seem to not have changed much.

well, IF they get someone else to call the plays and IF they work the OL to make it better (see: CB situation from last year), then the offense could be really good...but, IMO, if Garrett continues to call the plays, we could still be mediocre again next year.

And first and second were the saints and lions. Two playoff teams right? It's easy to rack up passing yards when you're down 14 points every game, the defense is in the prevent and youre just slinging it in the fourth quarter.

That O-line just needs to get better and more continuity. They did progress as the season went on so I can see why they might not want to change direction.
