If we gave David Phelps 30 starts, does he do better than a 4.50 era?

Nova is an ace with his own line of speedos. Nova pitched to a 5.02 ERA.

Phelps is not an ace. Hence, he cannot pitch better than Nova.

If Phelps starts 30 games, then Nova sure isn't doing the job. Unless Nova completely implodes again, I can't see Phelps making more than 15 starts this season.

Better than a 4.50 era? Sure, I guess.

Just asking Leo, what you like the Yankees to do with their rotation next year?? Pettitte and Kuroda are more than likely gone. You don't want them to sign Hughes.

    So...

    CC
    Nova
Pineda (Maybe..not counting on him at all..)
    Phelps

That is one ****** looking rotation..

I think pitching changes from year to year. Who knows who will rise to the occasion this year in the majors or minors. I mean, a year ago at this time, Pineda was the next big thing, Hughes was awful, nova was a stud and phelps was a nobody.

I don't think we need a 2014 plan yet. This roster is all about 2013.

sorry, I put Hughes in edwin jackson's league. he's a guy that can help a rotation, but i'm not sure i'd want to pay for him.

Although a little slow and a danger behind the wheel, you can still serve a purpose !

Perhaps Edwin is equal to Hughes in performance but not in reliability. Edwin pitches over 30 games a season and doesn't start a season with a tired shoulder. You can depend on Edwin to eat a lot of innings every year. With Hughes, you can only depend on him to eat a lot.
