    Komarov - Steckel - Kadri

    Extra: Brown
Kadri on the 4th line...give your head a shake...Nonis says he wants the young guys to play...Steckel will either be moved or sit in the press box and McClement will plat 3rd/4th line minutes. Kadri is in the AHL if he isn't playing on one of the top 3 lines. Great way to develop an offensively gifted prospect though Luke...bury him on the 4th line...real smart

Nonis is making short work of the dead wood left in Burke's wake. Looks like Kadri and Frattin, barring anymore moves, have cemented their place on the team.
Anyone thinks Nonis is moving out roster spots to make room for new additions? or is it simply to make room for the young guys?

If Timmy goes to the minors he is still on the cap, i think we save a $1m or so but he's still there.

Glad to see Lombardi and Connolly not in the lineup any more. Both players just don't have it anymore and both tend to be invisible when the Leafs play physical teams like the Bruins. This team looks like they are going to miss the playoffs again. Still too small and the goaltending is nothing to be excited about. I think Nonis is going to just get through this shortened season with whatever he has and try to go big in the off-season.
“It’s about winning,” Stoudemire said. “You win, you’re going to get on national TV. Simple. In Phoenix, we won — Western Conference finals three, four years, playoffs every year. We won. If you don’t win, nobody really wants to see you.”

If the Leafs were concerned about the cap it would be a horrible idea to send him to the minors, but it doesn't look like that's going to be a concern with Nonis alreay stating he wants the kids to play. Maybe he gets sent to the Marlies, but please don't buy him out

We don't care about the cap hit for this season and he's expiring.

I might have kept him in order to build trade value but its virtually non-existent anyway so I'll trust their judgement on this one.

No need to insult me. I was just trying to see what would work.
I fixed it after if you looked, and put Kadri on the third. The first two lines are already pretty much set so you calling me out just because I put him on the 4th and not 3rd line is stupid. Don't piss me off Lavy.

I changed it to Kulemin - Kadri - Frattin which makes more sense.

The only reason I included Steckel is because when Carlyle was hired, his minutes went way up, and because of his face off skill. That's all.

If they decide to sit him great, but I was just thinking they wouldn't because of those reasons.

    Love you Lavy.

    Anyways here look.

    James Mirtle ‏@mirtle

My sense from Carlyle's presser is Frattin won't make the team to start season.

If that's true then Steckel has indeed earned a spot, and Komarov as well.

Wouldn't surprise me if Frattin played with Ashton on the Marlies this year, third line of the future people
