I'm with you...I'd even take a 7th...just don't want to see him bought out...it would be such a waste

Would be nice get something for him, but at least he won't be takings away a roster spot this year.
I would have thought he coulda fetched at least as much as Lombardi, glad to see him off the roster regardless..
Just because he was put on waivers doesn't me he is off the roster for sure...Nonis might be looking to see if there is any interest out there. Might have wanted to just wash his hands of Connolly if someone picked him up. This doesn't make sense to me, but it might be true.
So is this Nonis going into full tank mode? not getting Luongo(assuming), getting rid of two vets in Lombo and Connolly to replace them with guys who are barely old enough to drink south of the border.

It probably makes us better. But we sure as hell won't be any worse off.

I sure as hell know I can handle the growing pains as long as we do it the right way. The quick fix with Kessel and Komisarek, Beauchemin signings plus the Giguere trade were supposed to put us right there and we still stunk. That was real pain. Here's a good article Lebrun did when he had a sit down with Nonis. It looks like Luongo's out of the question and we're going to have to be patient.

That's what happened :

Carlyle called Connolly in for a chat yesterday and the coach told Star reporter that 'Tim wasn't very good today'. Writing on the wall.
