I think Nonis was probably looking all over the place for trade value before he did this. Kind of a last resort waivers. Obviously he wouldn't waive the guy if he could get so much as a 7th round pick. Wouldn't shock me if nobody bit on Connolly. I wouldn't of. I wouldn't of signed him the day Burke did either. Just because plan A (Richards) doesn't work out doesn't mean plan B (Connolly) is a great option. Another amazing Burke signing. Shmell ya Tiny Tim we won't miss ya.

Okay first off how do we make new threads? I have been wondering for the longest time and don't know how.

Secondly I love this move, get him out, bye Tim you won't be missed.

Clears up space, clears up a roster spot for a kid and most importantly gets that contract out of here and cap hit. I think some other team will grab him to be honest. Possibly NYI hell maybe even Vancouver who needs extra bodies.

He hasn't been bought out, yet. He's on waivers... or will be soon. Then if a team doesn't claim him they decide to either buy him out or trade him I believe.

I like that third line. I'm tempted to give Frattin and Kadri, JVR to work with but I understand the Leafs want to give him the proven talent to work with.

Because Komarov is a very useful player and he's a tremendous pest. He was playing with Malkin and Ovechkin in Russia... on their line. He has offensive potential too.

I guarantee Komarov makes the team.

no way i like Kadri on the top PP line. He can pass and has a good shot, grabo tends to shoot more often. I would run

JVR - Grabo - Mac/ Kulimen

The line-up still doesn't work for me. Something's gotta give. I'd really like to see:

Kulemin-Grabo-Komarov.
JVR-Kadri-Frattin

I'm not huge on Bozak (I really think he's the best of our bad 1st line center options), Lupul, Stekel, Connolly (who's hopefully gone). McArthur to me is a 3rd liner at best. He's filled in admirably, but his point totals, are to me, more a result of his increased TOI and special teams ice time. Also, I'd be alright with moving Colborne as well. Not really fair to say that at this point, but, I don't know how integral it is to have a non-physical 6'5 3rd line center.
