Heard that earlier. I had a feeling he might for the reasons I listed above but at least we have better D prospects in the minors. Not a huge blow

I don't see the issue. Strait is a #6 D at best. Yeah, I'd rather have waived Lovejoy, but I'm not too broken up about this.

It's not so much that I thought he could be a huge asset to the team but rather a trade piece. Strait himself isn't going to net you anything substantial but rather an "add in." Player X and an NHL ready defenseman should sweeten the pot a bit

Wow, I just saw on Twitter that a bunch of Flyers fans are cheering that Tangradi does well along Malkin and Neal. The tweet was:

"He's a Penguin but big day for Philly boy Eric Tangradi who may start on line with Malkin & Neal He's got a chance to earn a spot all yr."

GUINS WIN! GUINS WIN! GUINS WIN!

Great game by Neal, looked good also on off-point.

Sudsy's no Jordan, but he had a strong game. Good work from our foot soldiers as well.

Sutter played great, Stall was and is better but I feel sutter can become better for us then stall was. The defense and hitting are what I expected but sutters offensive game is way above what I expected.

    Guins win!

Good start to the season; skated our tails off and finished them off with some solid structural D. Fleury was very sharp, and we handled them pretty well down low. Neal had some blistering shots. Sid and Co., stay healthy! All is well in the Burgh.

Sutter is going to ease the pain of losing staal... Might not be quite the player but may be a better value considering we need a third line center and the extra cap space.

Yeah, they need to clarify that they would be switching people over after the ceremony. Had me worried lol.

Anyway, very solid game. The defense didn't have any major breakdowns, at least that I saw, and that includes Martin. Getting PP goals from guys like Kennedy is a positive sign, secondary scoring is always a good thing. Neal looks like he didn't miss a beat, scoring off the faceoff like last year. Fleury looked strong today as well, has to do his confidence wonders only letting in 1 after last season.

And most of all, listening to the Flyer fans complain about: Crosby, calls, not getting the bounces, unlucky, the works. I love it
